About Charles “David” Johnson, 83, passed away at 1:11 am, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born December 31, 1941, in Zanesville to the late Charles Glenn and Brenda Bowden Johnson. He was a 1959 graduate of Zanesville High School. He went to trade school and became a union plumber, where he worked for various plumbing companies, including Professional Plumbing. David was an avid videographer and enjoyed making videos of weddings, dance recitals and other local events. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting. He loved working in his shop and keeping his home looking beautiful. He proudly served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Longstreth Johnson; two children: Terry (Kristi) Johnson and Mary Ann (Dr. Clinten) Lingel; three grandchildren: Tucker (Anna) Johnson, Hayden Lingel and Harrison Lingel; a great grandchild Ruby Renee Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Willey, and a grandchild, Brock Johnson.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM, Wednesday, September 3, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will be held at 11AM Thursday, September 4 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastors Eddie Warne and Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery with full Military Honors by VFW Post #1058.
