Betsy J. Russi, 85, of Zanesville, died at 1:48 A.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 19, 1940, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Harold and Mary M. (Fisher) Mercer. Betsy earned her Bachelor’s Degree and worked as an occupational therapist. She found joy in the arts through painting, sketching, and sewing, you could often find Betsy with her nose in books of all genres. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son Bruce Russi; her daughter, Jennifer Russi; grandson, Jeremiah W. Russi; granddaughter, Leandra N. Russi; three great grandchildren, Leamare Russi, Haylen Bash, and Malainie Russi; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick W. Russi; seven brothers; and one sister.
Private family services will be held at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, OH. 43701. Betsy will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
