Robert Douglas Allwood, 48, of Zanesville, died at 11:22 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on Sunday, October 14, 1956, in Zanesville, the son of Gladys Markert Allwood and the late Robert Lee Allwood. He was a former employee of the Mid-Atlantic Canners Corporation and an avid fisherman and billiard player.
Surviving are a son, Jason Douglas Allwood of Zanesville; his mother of the home; his fiancee, Sandra Howard of Zanesville; a brother, Greg (Rebecca) Allwood of Zanesville; a grandson, Dillon; two mephews, Jeremy and Justin Allwood of Zanesville; and a niece, Jennifer Allwood of Coshocton.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A caring cremation will take place. No calling hours will be observed.
