About Everett "Bud" Leroy Krause, 91, of Zanesville passed at 6:04:00 AM Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Oaks at Northpointe.

He was born on February 10, 1933, in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Marion Claude Krause and Helen Violet Crawford Krause.

Bud was a 1952 graduate of Lash High School in Zanesville. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for eight years. Bud retired July 4, 1985, after 30 years with the Zanesville Fire Dept. He also retired as school bus driver after 20 years for Starlight School. Bud is a Lifelong member of First Christian Church having served as Board Moderator, Elder, Deacon and Trustee. He served Over 30 years as Sunday School Superintendent, 59 years singing in the Church Choir, many years as youth group leader and over 25 years as Counselor at Church Camp with Middle School youths. He was a member of Greater Zanesville Singer's and Big Brothers. He served as Past President Charity Newsies and Past President Zanesville Band Boosters. He was Scoutmaster of troops 111, 129 and 188. Bud was also a cast member for Zaney Follies.

He is survived by three children Debbie Spohn, Tim (Sandy) Krause and Lori (Ed) Ward. Six grandchildren Erin Haney, Matthew Krause, Eben (Danah) Stansbery, Kyle Krause, Kari Ward and Cody (Renee) Ward. Eight Great Grandchildren Jaden Krause, Brisa Krause, Bella Haney, Garrett Haney, Tucker Bruce, Liam Krause, Parker Ward, Preston Ward; a brother Paul (Sharon) Krause; special cousin, Norma Jardine; a brother-in-law, James Robert Jardine; sisters-in-laws, Donna Yeager Jardine and Donna Henderson Jardine; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 72 1/2 years, Juanita Jardine Krause; a daughter, Sherry Kay Krause Federman; sons-in-law, Larry Spohn and Al Federman; a brother, Marion “Sonny” (Mary) Krause; brothers-in-law, Johnie Jardine, Gerald Jardine and Larry Jardine.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Additional visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the First Christian Church where funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M with Pastor Laureen Roe officiating. Burial will conclude at Zanesville Memorial Park
