About | Betty A. Arbaugh, 97 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 21, 2024, at Genesis Hospital of Zanesville. She was born on January 14, 1927, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Albert Pugh and Ruth (Wilson) Pugh. Betty worked for several years at Guys and Dolls hair salon as a receptionist and at Imlay’s Uniform shop for several more years, until she retired at the age of 80. Over the years, Betty enjoyed camping and traveling all over the United States. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing many kinds of cards. Betty was in a euchre club for over 60 years and was the last remaining original member. Until her last few years, she was a member of the Eagles #302 and American Legion Post 29. Betty is survived by her daughter, Lorraine “Kaye” (Fred) Snyder, Bill (Valerie) Arbaugh Jr.; 4 grandchildren: Eric Perry, Brent Perry, Trisha (Jason) Conrad, Troy (Stephanie) Arbaugh; 4 great grandchildren: Mason Morrow, Emerson Morrow, Liam Perry, Charlie Arbaugh; 2 sisters: Evelyn Smith, Shirley O’Leary; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, William Arbaugh Sr.; daughter, Janet Lynn “Sissy” Arbaugh. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or to your local animal shelter in memory of Janet Lynn “Sissy” Arbaugh. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday November 26, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will conclude services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville. |
