About Rodney F. Robinson, age 82, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, July 1, 2024, at OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born November 16, 1941, in Warsaw, son of the late John J. and Wildiah M. Connelly Robinson. Rodney was a 1959 graduate of Zanesville High School. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served eight years, and was a member of the Air National Guard Red Horse Unit out of Sandusky for seventeen years, which provided water purification to Noble County during the 1998 flood. He was employed as a manager for K-Mart for fifteen years, and served five years as a paint department manager for Lowes in Zanesville. He owned and operated Big R Painting in Zanesville. Rodney was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church, where he led Sunday morning services and prepared the weekly bulletin, and he was a member of Noble County Performing Arts. He enjoyed attending B-52 gunner reunions and organizing and attending family reunions. He enjoyed cooking and was an animal lover.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Dewaine Robinson and Scottie Robinson, and a son, John A. Robinson.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon J. Stewart Robinson, whom he married May 2, 1971; three sons, Keith A. (Denise) Robinson of Zanesville, Kevin A. “Rob” (Brooke) Robinson of Corning, New York, and Kreg A. Robinson of Clarington; special friend, Stanley Randolph; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon (Polly) Robinson of Medina and Dwight (Karen) Robinson of Zanesville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved cat, Kora.

Friends may call Friday, July 5, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Pastor David Wells and Ken Perkins officiating. A veteran’s graveside service will follow at Sharon Cemetery conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
