Bernard V. Dick, 54, of 114 Pleasant Street, New Lexington, a central office repairman for Ohio Bell Telephone Company, died at 12:30 pm Wednesday, December 18, 1968 of an apparent heart attack while visiting on his farm near New Lexington.
He was born September 19, 1914, at New Holland, a son of the late Donald and Bernice Johnson Dick. He had grown up in Zanesville and had lived in New Lexington for 24 years.
Mr. Dick was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New Lexington Lodge 250, F & AM, Carnation OES Chapter 167, and the Telephone Pioneers. He had served on New Lexington Town Council two terms.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ruth Lewis; two sons, David Earl and Steven Charles Dick, both of the home; a sister, Miss Alice Dick of Zanesville; three brothers, Donald Leon Dick of Chillicother, Vance Starling Dick and Trafford Dick of Zanesville.
A son, Roger died in 1957.
Burial will be in Memorial Park
