About	Susan M. Gutridge, 49, of Gratiot, died at 3:30pm Thursday, March 13, 1997, at Bethesda Hospital. Born July 1, 1947, in Zanesville, she was a medical transcriptionist. God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon Earth and saw your tried face. He putHis arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He alsways takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on Earth again. He saw that road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eye-lids and whispered "Peace Be Thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. Surviving are her husband, John R. Gutridge, whom she married Jamuary 8, 1965, of the home, her mother Mary Britt Fraunfelter of Zanesville, two sons, J.D. (Christy) Gutridge and Scott (Valerie) Gutridge, both of Gratiot: four sisters, Sally Hecker of Chandlersville, Sandy Schwartzmiller of South Zanesville, Peggy Echols of Glendale, Maryland, and Kathy Clapper of Zanesville; one brother, Tom Gormley of Malta; and four grandchildren, Lacey, Carley, Austin and Dakota Gutridge. She was preceded in death by her father Tom Gormley. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday, March 16, 1997 at the Bolin Funeral Home. Services are 1pm Monday, March 17, 1997, at the funeral home with burial following at Poplar Forks Cemetery in Gratiot.
