About Ronald V. Wilson, 92, of Zanesville, OH passed away on April 14, 2024 at the Morrison House.

Ronald was born on the family farm on July 14, 1931 to the late Victor and Verna (Corbin) Wilson. Also preceded in his death are his siblings Grace France, Ruth Frick, Clyde Wilson, David Wilson and Fred Wilson.

Following graduation from Lash High School 1949, Ronal joined his father and brother David to create Victor Wilson & Sons Dairy. “Once I met a girl Her health was fine as silk, Beside her pate at every meal was a glass of Wilson’s MILK.” (Wilson motto would be found on their milk jars.) Ronald continued the dairy until his retirement in 1993. In July 2010, the Wilson Dairy celebrated Ohio Century Farm award given by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

Ronald’s hobby was raising Belgian horses. He was known for showing his horses in several fairs in Ohio including Ohio State fair for many years. He was also known to show his horses at regional shows in surrounding states. Throughout many years of showing cattle and horses he made several lifelong friends. In Ronald’s 92 years, he never missed a Muskingum County fair day.

In later years, you always found Ronald driving his red Dodge truck going to the Muskingum County Center for Seniors, enjoying a hot lunch and a game of euchre. Ronald also enjoyed ‘overseeing’ the activity on the farm on his golf cart and taking his grandkids and now great grandkids on rides.

On February 25, 1952, Ronald married Shirley L. McGuire in Richmond, Indiana. They were married for 43 years until her death, September, 14, 1995. They were preceded in death by an infant, Jane Lynn Wilson.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Cindi (John) Quinn of New Concord, his grandson, Kevin Quinn and grand-daughter Vicky ((Chris) Untied with their children Charlie and Lucy Untied, all of Zanesville, two sister in-laws, Carol Wilson and Vera McGuire Dishong.

Friends and family may call on Thursday 5-7 p.m., April 18, at Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main St. Duncan Falls, Ohio and funeral service will be held April 19, at 11 a.m at the funeral home. Ronald will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville.
