About	Cora “Corky” Lee Taggart of Hopewell passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family in the early hours of January 29, 2024. Cora was born on August 9th 1943, to Billie and Elda Lee Thomas. She was a farmer’s wife until retirement and loved her family greatly as they were her greatest accomplishment. She was involved in scouts for many years as a den mother and raising three Eagle Scouts. She loved all things Disney especially Snow White. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Loved playing BINGO and quilting. She loved going to the casino to play penny slots as much as she could. She had a love for square dancing, where she met her husband Ralph Taggart Sr. on New Years Eve at Dance Land. After being married they never missed a New Years Eve at Dance Land for 30 years while it was open. Corky is survived by her children, Ralph Jr. (Stacie) Taggart of Mount Perry, Roger (Leslie) Taggart of Hopewell, Ronda (David) Taggart of Arlington, Virginia, Rodney (Shari) Taggart of Zanesville, grandchildren Courtney (David), Billy (Kaytlin), Anthony, Derrick, and Jacob and great grandchildren Dorian, Jocee, and Naomi, sister Gail (Bill) Baumiller and brothers Walt, and Phillip (Nancy) Thomas, and honorary grandchild Kierstyn. In addition to her parents Corky is preceded in death by the love of her life Ralph Taggart Sr, a brother Billie Thomas and a sister Carol McCormack. Calling hours will be Friday, February 2, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., both at WILLIAM THOMPSON AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 5765 Gladstone Dr. White Cottage, OH 43791. Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at the Asbury Chapel Road Cemetery in Hopewell beside her husband.
