About	Janet Jean Lewellen, age 86, of Newark, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born at her home in Roseville, Ohio on May 30, 1937, to the late Harry and Zelma (Ross) Adamson. She graduated from Zanesville High School in 1955 and was a Home Health Aide for many years before retiring. Janet was strong in her faith and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Newark and a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Coshocton. Janet enjoyed sewing, boating, water skiing, reading and writing poetry, and spending time with her loving family, especially her boys who she loved dearly. She is survived by her three sons, Douglas (Teresa) Lewellen of Richmond, TX, Dale (Tara) Lewellen of Newark, OH and Darrin (Becky) Lewellen of Heath, OH; grandchildren, Jeremy Lewellen, Nathan Lewellen, Stephanie Lewellen, Matthew Lewellen, Meghan Lewellen, Katie Winter, Evan Lewellen, Seth Lewellen and Timothy Lewellen; step-grandchildren, Darcy Nott and Megan Koehnle; great-grandchildren, Sara Lewellen, Nataleighann Lewellen, Olivia Cardinal, Allison Ratliff, Colton Lewellen, Damian Lewellen, Aviana Jo Lewellen; step-great-grandchildren, Bryce, Damion and Emma; sister Joy Hudson of South Jackson, MI and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her brother Bobbie Lewellen and her significant other, Merle Campbell. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 am with Pastor Mark Raaker officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
