About	Brian Keith Smith, age 60, of Escondido, California passed away on September 22, 2022. Preceded in death by his mother Gertrude (Garbers) Smith and father William Smith. He is survived by his sister, Karen (Smith) Stoddard, brother David (Rhonda) Smith, stepmother Louise Smith, stepsisters Crystal (John) Engle, Vicki McElfrish, Tracy Woestendiek, and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, family, and friends. Brian was an Eagle Scout and a 1979 graduate of Zanesville High School. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1983 with a major in Psychology. Brian lived most of his adult life in Escondido, California, where he worked in retail. He loved animals, especially cats, and rescued several over the years. Memorial donations can be made to San Diego Humane Society. A private family service will be held.
