Mrs. Pearl Chapman, 66, of 220 1/2 Luck Ave., was dead on arrival at Good Samaritan hospital at 5 pm Saturday (Nov 21) of an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Chapman was born in Zanesville, February 8, 1904, a daughter of Cydnor and Elizabeth Hivnor Anderson. She was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a member of the Coburn United Methodist church.
Surviving are two daughter, Mrs. Norma Harris of Newark and Mrs. Rebecca Hunt of 45 Juanita drive, South Zanesville; two sons, Russell Chapman of Atlanta, TX, and Gail Chapman of Athens; a sister, Mrs. Dean Smith of Dillon Acres; a brother, William Anderson of 345 Broadview Avenue; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dempster Chapman.
