About	Carolyn Imes, 82, of Lowell, Ohio formerly of Zanesville passed away on Saturday November 6, 2021 at Stellar Care Center in Woodsfield following a lingering illness fighting cancer. Carolyn was born in Zanesville on August 28, 1939 to the late Jesse and Edith Vogt Imes. While in Zanesville she attended Grace United Methodist Church and while living in Lowell since 1970 she has been a very faithful and dedicated member of St. John's Evangelical Church. Carolyn had a passion at an early age to help others, upon her graduation from Zanesville High School she went on to pursue her degree in Education from Ohio University. This decision she made led to the education of thousands of second and third grade students learning from the heart and giving them a chance to succeed. She started her career in South Zanesville and in 1970 transferred to the Reno School District where she taught for over 30 years. Not only did Carolyn love her students, she took great interest in their parents as well. She is survived by one brother Jerry Imes of Zanesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 516 Shinnick Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4PM Wednesday, November 10 at St. John's Evangelical Church, 312 Fourth Street, Lowell, Ohio and a funeral service will follow at 4PM with Pastor Melody Hoskinson officiating. Additional visitation will be held 11AM to 1PM Friday, November 12 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE and a funeral service will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
