About Wayne Honesty, age 87 of Columbus, Died Monday, November 1, 2021 at Kobacker House following a sudden illness. Wayne was born July 25, 1934 in Mc Connellsville, Ohio, the son of the late Dennis and Dorothy (Mayle) Honesty. Wayne is survived by daughters: Kathy Honesty and Tammy Honesty (Chuck Hatcher); son Kip (Erin) Honesty; grandchildren: Dene Honesty, Shaun Honesty, Brandon Honesty and Donovan (Morgan) Honesty; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Connie (Dr. Raymond) Watiker, Glenna (Sheldon) Smith, Janet Young and Sherril Williams; 19 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews as well as other beloved family and friends. In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by a sister Jean (Ira) Boone, brothers-in-law Charles Young and Chester Williams. Wayne owned and operated Middletown Optical in Middletown, Ohio, he raced and trained thoroughbred and quarter horses and owned and operated Eyes and Ears On Wheels. He lived in Zanesville, Middletown, Franklin, Gratis and Columbus, Ohio. He attended Maize Manor United Methodist Church. In addition to fishing, travel and gardening, Waynes passion was genealogy. He also loved Ohio State Football and following his nephew Kevin Martin Jr.'s NBA career.
