About Cleveland, SC - Mr. William "Bill" Richard Maziar, 82, loving husband of Ann Margaret Smith Maziar, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Clemson Downs.
Bill was born in Zanesville, Ohio on January 7, 1939 to the late William B. and Emma June Garvin Maziar. He had a quick wit and always loved a good joke, and loved sharing a laugh with you or anyone in the room. Bill never met a stranger, and he had a special place in his heart for all of God's creatures big and small. He retired from the Ford Motor Company as the Manager of Engineering Development Services, and in his free time he enjoyed golf, boating, and fishing. Bill was both inventive and a true craftsman, and could make anything out of wood or metal. Family was most important to Bill, and he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Bill was proud of his service in the U.S Marine Corps Reserve. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, SC.

In addition to the love of his life for almost 63 years, Bill is survived by his two daughters: Christine M. Maziar of Granger, Indiana and Melania M. Craddock (Hugh) of Belmont, NC; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Craddock (Matthew Chism) of Willow Spring, NC and William Craddock (Maggie) of Pearland, TX; a great-grandson: Maxwell Chism; and three siblings: Sharon Hohman (Richard) of Dallas, TX, Thomas Maziar (Delta) of Lebanon, OH, and Richard Maziar (Crystal) of Nashport, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, SC on Monday, October 25, 2021. The family requests that masks be worn and social distancing be observed during the service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
