Trudy Lynn (Sharkey) Knapp, 62, of Kent, Ohio (formerly of Zanesville Ohio) went to be with her heavenly father at 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 8, 1959, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Fred and Betty (Hewitt) Sharkey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and sister. Trudy was a homemaker and loved playing bingo.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Greg Knapp; a son, Nicholas Knapp; a daughter Holly Knapp (Carlton ); three grandchildren, Kayla, Weston, and Dylan; four sisters, Connie (Garry) Driggs, Nancy Stoneburner, Helen (Tony ) Burtnett and Jeannie Semon; a brother, Donnie (Becky) Sharkey; and several nieces and nephews, Neely, Kim, Ryan ( Amber), Addi, Rylee, Mike ( Jeannine) Madison, Isabella, Emily, Mitch ( Jessica) Marlon , Maeva June, Melanie (Andy) Brinkley, Beckham, Wendy (Shane ) Clay , Chloe, Laura (Jason), Cammie, Cassy and Andy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Fred Sharkey, and her brother in law Marion Stoneburner.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Coburn United Methodist Church, 3618 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, on August 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Thomas officiating. A gathering will take place in the Wilson Center of Coburn United Methodist Church following the service.
