About | Vivian L. “Viv”, “Vivvy” (Pettiford) Clifford, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on July 23, 2020, after a lengthy illness. Vivian was a longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Pettiford, Sr. and Catherine (Hill) Pettiford of Zanesville. She was a member of God’s Grace Deliverance Church in Whitehall. She is survived by her life partner of 30 plus years, Marcus Burk, mother-in-law, Carrie Burk-Hurley, daughter, LaTasha Clifford, son, Charles (Holly) Clifford, daughter, Rachel (Mandow Manny) Clifford-Nixon, eleven grandchildren: Mykkel James, Keosha Clifford, Korben Northrop, Kaycee Gross, Michael James, Jr. Cally, Lil Charles, Cameron, Carlee Clifford, Antonio and Jaivian Goodwin; great grandchildren: Nevaeh Clifford, “Normoni”, Rockelle, Isiah and King James; sisters; Marilyn Jackson, Marlene Pettiford, Virginia (Jenny) Pettiford, Melinda (Shelly) (Alberto) Carpio, Veronica (Winnie) (Terry) Brown, Robin Beatty (Jamie Reed). Brother, Ronald (Ronnie) (Mariam) Pettiford, sister-in-law’s, Nichole Burk and Marsh Burk; special sisters: Ozie Glaze, Pam Male-Bell, Tequila Fowler and Marie James; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and Great nephews, family and friends including her care giver of over fifteen years: Clen-Etta Trotter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Hill-Pettiford, father, George Pettiford, Sr., brothers, George (Georgie) Pettiford, Richard (Ricky) Pettiford; sisters; Sandra K. and Betty, sister-in-law, Margie Burk, special son, Michael (Mike) James, nephew, Burkey (Bubby) Jackson and nieces, Koeta Pettiford and Autumn (Auddie) Beatty. Vivian will always be remembered for her genuine kindness and boldness to all she came in contact with. Vivian made friends and left cherished memories everywhere she went and loved her family dearly. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Due to Covid 19, social distancing will be maintained; please wear a face mask; building occupancy will be limited to 50 persons at a time; and funeral graveside services will be held 1:30 PM, at Woodlawn Cemetery with Minister Donald Fullum officiating. |
