About	Jon Arnold Moorehead, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on May 28, 1946 in Zanesville,Ohio to Donald and Marjorie (Redman) Moorehead. He was a graduate of Zanesville High School Class of 1964, where he was a standout academic performer and highly active in athletics, music, and student leadership groups. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in 1969. Jon was highly respected in the community for his work advocating for affordable and equal housing opportunities, serving on numerous community action, education, and housing committees. He served as an executive for several community action and housing organizations, including: Columbus Neighborhood Housing Services, HC Bland Realty, Volunteers of America, and the Columbus Finance Fund. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church for many years, where he served as a trustee. Jon was also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and was initiated at Ohio University (Phi chapter) in 1965. Jon leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Minerva; daughter Kisha; sons Jon II and Shaun; five grandchildren Kamiyla, Jamira, Malik, Micchon, and Mikayla; two great-grandsons, Kamron and Kingsley; brothers Donald Jr. (Mary Jo) of Lilburn, Georgia and Myron (Patricia) of Kenner, Louisiana; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Marjorie, and sister Carole (Moorehead) Seward.
