About Wayne King, 82, of Zanesville, died at 5:10 am Saturday, December 26, 1998 at Morrison House, Genesis Hospice.

Borm February 24, 1916, in Zanesville, he retired in 1971 as a Letter Carrier for the USPS and was member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Mr. King was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Elks, Eagles, and VFW George Selsam Post 1058. He was active in NARFE,, UCT, was a former Zanesville City councelman and served on the civil service commission and the Democratic Party.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Kamilla and John Sigafoos of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Jacob Sigafoos and Kate Sigafoos, both of Lancaster; and one sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Franklin Vandenbark of Zanesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick W. and Alta L. Higgenbottom King; his wife, Helen W. Grasley King, who died June 4, 1997; and one brother Emerson King.

Burial will be in Memorial Park.
