Donna M. Gessel, 85, of Zanesville, died at 5:55 A.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Willow Haven Nursing Home, Zanesville. She was born May 28, 1933, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Perry and Gladys Collins James. She worked in the housekeeping and kitchen departments at Willow Haven Nursing Home and was a longtime member of North Terrace Church of Christ.
She is survived by a sister, Rita Rericha of Columbus; a granddaughter, Brittany Lutz; sisters-in-law, Patricia and Faye James; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Kenneth Gessel; two daughters, Debbie Daugherty and Jamie Lee Lutz; and two brothers, Howard and Richard James.
She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
