Harold W. Hanes was born August 19, 1899 in Perry Twp, Muskingum County, Ohio to Wilbert and Minnie Hanes. He married Louise M. Hannum and had two children, Richard Judson Hanes and Martha Jean Hanes Kirk. Harold was the younger brother of fellow classmate Helen Hanes. Harold died in September of 1978
