Harry Raymond Starkey of Hopewell, Route 1, widely known musician and music teacher, died at Bethesda Hospital at 9:40 pm, Friday, September 16, 1966, where he was admitted earlier after suffering a heart attack at is home.
Mr. Starkey severed as music supervisor for Muskingum County schools for many years, taught music and was an organist.
He was born in Muskingum county, a son of George and Nellie Curran Starkey.
Mr. Starkey was a graduate of Capital University, Boston University and the School of Music at Lake Forest Illinois.
Burial will be in Asbury Chapel Cemetery.
