Ralph H. Hammond, 37, former Zanesville resident, died of suffocation on Wednesday, August 31, 1932 in an explosion and fire at his home in Shaker Heights, Cleveland.
He was born in July 17, 1895 to Sidner and Mary Hammond in Zanesville, Ohio.
Mr. Hammond was a graduate of Zanesville High School in 1914, a graduate of Harvard University and was a veteran of WWI. He had been employed as a statistician for the White Motor Truck Companyn for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Bouchard, whom he married March 5 1921 in Manhattan, New York and three children, Henry, Paul and Mary.
He was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio
