About Me	Heroes: Noam Chomsky, Greg Palast, all the good people at the Elephant Sanctuary, Mitch Besser for his activism against AIDS in Africa, Bono, my grandfather Homer Watkins, Michael Moore, Doctors without Borders (did a fund-raiser for them last year) After many years (oh, honesty, let's add another many), I've finally accepted this and in fact delight in it: I'm a geek. Yup, really, truly. Did all the non-geek things for years as a matter of disguise, did them well, but ya know? It is what it is. Pet peeves: self-important people. Drama queens. Manipulators, users, and liars. Judgmental and self-righteous people. Fundamentalist, rigid, arbitrary religious beliefs of any persuasion. Fears: flying, strictly white-knuckle.
