| About Me | John serves his public and private sector clients as an organizational development consultant, program manager, curriculum designer, facilitator, and executive coach through Lybarger & Associates, Inc. founded in 1993 and John S. Lybarger, PhD, LLC founded in 2013. As a nationally known consultant and facilitator, John is continuously honing his ability to engage learners, increasing their competence at mission execution and creating sustainable results. John strives for opportunities to work with executives from both the public and private sectors, taking what he learns from each engagement and applying it to the next— effectively creating a more results-focused and mission-driven impact. Throughout his career, John has designed and facilitated numerous courses that have built stronger leaders, created sustainable culture change and empowered teams. His most recent experience has included contract work with the United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Western Management Development Center (WMDC), where he has co-designed more than a dozen courses and served as a feedback coach. He has served as a visiting program manager leading custom organizational development projects for several government agencies including: Department of the Treasury (US Mint and Internal Revenue Service), Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Defense and Defense Contract Management Agency. Additionally, he has co-designed and facilitated custom courses for the US Army, Social Security Administration, Food Safety and Inspection Services, US Customs and Immigration Services, Department of Justice, Department of Transportation and the Pacific Leadership Academy. Supplementing his consulting within the public sector, John has delivered career transition coaching services through McKenzie Scott in Denver, CO. As an adjunct faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership John provided executive coaching and small group facilitation for numerous clients in 2006-2007. John is certified in: Paper Panes Inc. (simulation) as a Master Facilitator, The Leadership Challenge Workshop™, BarOn EQ-i, BarOn EQ 360, Change Style Indicator, Influence Style Indicator, Hogan Assessment Suite, Conflict Dynamics Profile Self and 360 Assessments, The Conflict Lens, OPM Leadership 360, Benchmarks, and Skillscope.
