| About Me | Married 30 year (as of June 2010), to “Robin Fowler Connell”. We have 5 son's, (oldest oldest 29, youngest is 9), one daughter-in-law and one beautiful granddaughter. I have been in sales management most of my working life, and have worked for Sony Electronics for the past 25 years. I’m still active in my faith (currently serving as a Bishop for the Brigham Young University 35th ward), and spend most of my off time with my family, building or riding Harley's, training or riding horses, or building pretty much anything from wood or metal, and playing sports or building with my boys in our car shop. I graduated from Yerba Buena High school (San Jose California), in 1976, though I have long suspected that Mr., Butcher , in cohorts with Mrs., Dawson, persuaded Dr. Hernandez to “just give” me the required credits to graduate, being that my having to repeat my senior year would be more of a punishment to them than it would be to me. You may also remember my twin younger sisters who also attended YB (when I was there) and were in the 1978 graduating class, Elizabeth ad Kathleen Connell. Kathleen is married to Dr. Kyle Magdaluyo. They have one married Son and a new Daughter-in-law, and on other son and a daughter, all working and living in Las Vegas Nevada. Elizabeth is married to Marine Colonel Thomas McKnight (call sign Deacon, fly’s F-18’s). They and their two daughters and one son live in the San Diego area, as Colonel McKnight is stationed at Pendleton. Tom originally retired from active service and flew DC-10’s for United airlines, but returned to active duty and a tour of duty in the middle east, during all of the over sea’s conflicts. If you try to look Liz up, they will be retiring again soon, and may return to Colorado or Utah.) After graduation I received a small scholarship to BYU Idaho (then Ricks College). After one year I served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in London, and southern England. I returned to BYU, and then entered the world of Video Games, Computers, and Consumer Electronics, where I have worked for the past 33 years (currently 25 years with Sony electronics). Robin and I live in Alpine Utah, where we moved after 10 years as the “West Region Vice President of Sales” for Sony’s consumer electronics division, in the San Jose Office, took it’s toll on my health. Utah’s clean air and mountain life, (I’ve been raising horses), agree with me, as I still work for Sony and continue to lead a team of top performers, but my commute that was one and a half to two hours each way in California, now takes 8 seconds, as I work in my home (sometimes 12 seconds if Cole leaves toys on the stairs). Some of the pictu...(read more) |
