About	Walter J. Pagoda Jr., 56, of Sweet Valley passed into the hands of the Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the Mercy Hospital Hospice unit, Scranton. Born Jan. 3, 1954, in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Walter Sr. and Nellie Hudzik Pagoda. Walter was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1971. He was a member of the former St. Mary's Nativity Church, Plymouth, where he was involved with the choir, the Usher's Club and the Holy Name Society. He also was a member and usher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. He had been employed by Superior Walls By Advanced Concrete System Inc., Middlesburg, as a crane operator. Prior to this, he was employed by Coon Industries Inc., Pittston, for many years, where he received his certification as a crane operator. Throughout his life, he greatly enjoyed polka dancing. He also was an avid NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1993, the former Mary Teresa Pavlik. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St., Plymouth. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lake Silkworth.
