About	Charles (Chuck) J. Sims, 67, of Larksville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2009. Charles was a very intelligent but humble man, known for his calm and patient disposition. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Charles was born Dec. 25, 1941, in Plymouth, son of the late Charles and Mary Steever Sims. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. He was employed by EIC Insulation where he worked for the past 10 years. Charles led a full life volunteering in his church and community. He served his Lord and his church, the Franklin Street Primitive Methodist Church, faithfully his entire life. He served as a youth leader, Sunday School assistant superintendent, teacher, organist and treasurer. He also served for many years as an officer for the Luzerne County Sunday School Association. As a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in Guam during the Vietnam War. He volunteered with Plymouth Hose Co. 1 for 40 years. He was a past master of the Plymouth Masonic Lodge 332 and served as secretary. He also enjoyed being a teammate on the Shawnee Mixed Bowling League. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Bernie Smith. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, and sisters Janet and Karen
