Loving husband of Carol Hopkins Kozel; lonivg father of Michael Adam (Anne) Kozel, of Milford, Kimberly Marie (Thomas) Shivak of Oxford and Bradley James (Laura Hayden) Kozel of MA; dear brother of Marilyn (Phil) Rossomondo of PA, Pamela (Chris) Nixon of Ortonville; cherished grandfather of Amanda, Austin, Alyson, Abigail, Jack and Zoey. Preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Violet M.; and a sister Donna Tatarchuk. Mr. Kozel was a mechanical engineer for General Motors from 1972 to 2008. He was also employed by RCO Engineering from 2011 to 2012 where he worked onsite at GM. Mr. Kozel was a loyal Spartan fan. Jim loved music, singing and playing guitar. He loved his home, sports and especially his family.
