Gerald "Ross" Wheatley
Class of 1973
Coast Guard, 20+ Years
Graduated from the Coast Guard Academy in 1977. Remained on active duty until 2004 and attained the rank of Captain (O-6). Spent more than 20 years as a JAG and served as a Military Trial Judge for the final 10 years. Currently serving as an attorney as a civilian in the Coast Guard. Presently assigned to the Marine Board of Investigation in New Orleans looking into the sinking of the Oil Platform DEEPWATER HORIZON in the Gulf of Mexico.
