Dan found out in April of 2021 that he had pancreantic cancer. He passed away at the Wayne County Care Center. He was a person who never met a stranger.
Evelyn Musselman '57 said:
I put in here that he never met a stranger. Once when we were sitting in a restaurant he heard the men across from us talking about something he was interested in. He didn't know them, but told me I'll be back in a minute. He got up and went to there table and started talking to them. I think he told every woman he seen that she looked nice. Dan was a great guy, and I still miss him.
