Here are some exerpts from a recommendation submitted to Beth by a WHS Band Director...I think it says it all about why she should be nominated for the "Wall of Fame".

Beth was a student for 4 years at WHS and during that time she was an outstanding member of the music department. She worked tirelessly in concert band, jazz band and uncountable music department functions. She lent her skills and assistance to wherever there was need in the music department. She is a talented musician and for her 4 years she was a leader in the flute section of the band. Not only was her talent excellent, she also posessed a diligent work ethic, striving for perfection and never settling for anything less. Her hard work and excellence was evident in playing in large ensembles, flute trios chamber ensembles and solo performances.

In addition to her superior performance accomplishments, she displayed great skills as a leader. She represented the music department as a student leader since her freshman year and in her senior year she was voted in as band president. Through her leadership and attitude, she worked to help foster a positive energy in the department as a whole. She spoke publicly about the value of WHS's music department in her life and others. Her voice has been a valuable asset during the trying financial times. Beth is very intelligent and her example of tireless devotion to succeed has been a great inspiration to those around her. This well rounded, compassionate and responsible young lady deserves all honors and recognition that come her way, including the "WHS Wall of Fame".
