| About Me | Won the People's Choice Award, 1st place and Honorable Mention in the Pioneer Indian Museum art show. Illustrated a humorous nurse's biography. Have had an Art Show in The Fifth Sisters Art Gallery in Watonga. I also have my art on a website:www.artwanted.com/SusanMSims. Recently, I was an art winner in the "Wheel of Time" 2009 calendar competition, book series by Robert Jordan. Which can be found on Amazon.com. I have been happily married for 15 years now and we have two beautiful sons Michael and Kyle. I graduated from OSU with a bachelor in Fine Art in 1995. In 2002 I passed the Alternative Education Teaching Certification and taught art/yearbook at WHS for one whole year (2002-2003). Unfortunately, that was the year of teacher cutback's so I lost my position plus the art teaching position was done entirely away with! It was fun and it gave me the opportunity to know that I could homeschool my youngest son when the need arose. He has problems focusing and reading so with the help of a terrific doctor in OKC (Dr. Oliphant) we have been working to overcome his problems at home! It is a...(read more) |
