About Me	I live on a Vermont mountain above Peacham Pond in Marshfield with my wife Gail, son Alex & Karl the Wonder Dog. We own Vermont Flower Farm and write about the nursery business, home schooling, gardening and autism. Big time gardener! Family moved to Vermont from Port Chester, NY when I was 5. Dad surprised us with a big farm house, small barn, 2 chicken houses, 8 acres, no money. House had 6 wood stoves, 2 kitchens, a four holer, and no electricity, plumbing/running water. First learned vegetable gardening to survive the Vermont depression of early 50's. Mentored by one of New England's first female landscape architects and learned cooking and survival gardening from next door farm ladies..... and haven't looked back. Started Vermont Flower Farm in 80's and moved it to a new location in 2007.
