| About Me | Attended University of Kentucky for a few years. Visited Houston, TX, for the summer of 1981 and ended up getting a job with the Houston Oilers professional football team (not as a player) so I stayed in Houston until 1985. Came back to Lexington and completed my undergraduate degree in 1987. Moved to San Diego, CA, got married, had two children, worked for a wholesale distributor of security products, Clark Security Products, Inc., for 7 or 8 years. Divorced in 1995, moved back to Houston, TX, to be close to my children and remained there until 2005. While in Houston, I got a job as a Drilling Fluids Engineer with Baker Hughes Inteq in the Texas Oil and Gas industry. Re-located to College Station, TX. Worked on a drilling rig drilling for natural gas for 5 years. Got laid-off when the price of oil fell below, get this, $9 per barrel (remember, oil is now topping out above $105/barrel). Re-married in 1999 and had another child in 2001. Sold industrial elevators for the next 4 years and made the most money I've ever made. Decided to go back to school and get my teaching certificate and teach High School math. Taught 3 years in Houston. My wife, who is a college professor of Political Science got a job offer at Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY, so I was able to move back home in June 2005.
