| About Me | Living currently in Chadds Ford, PA, after departing from Southern New Jersey in the early 70's. My working career with the Du Pont Co. started in 1956 [Eastern Lab (Explos Res & Dev Div) in Gibbstown, NJ, transferring to Explos Cus Serv in Wilm., DE, in '74], ending with retirement in '85, with 29 yrs.' service. My husband, Ward, and I traveled extensively around the World. He retired from Du Pont, with 37 yrs' service in '85. I live in a 1730 PA fieldstone home (with brick and stucco additions) on 6 acres with a bank barn (once a dairy farm). Having had numerous animals over the years (chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, sheep, horses, a pig, a goat, dogs, cats, pond fish, and wildlife) in our animal family, it has been a wonderful rich life, living in Chester Co., in the Brandywine Valley...hunt country with much history. Living so close to Phila, PA; NYC, NY; Wash, DC; and, of course, the 'Jersey Shore'. Also, having enjoyed my extended travels to New York City, NY; Beach Haven, NJ; Cape May Point, NJ; Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island, ME; Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, MA; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Petersburg, FL; Williamsburg, VA; Honolulu, Oahu and Wailea, Maui, HI; St. Michael's, MD; Lanzarote, Canary Islands; and cruise excursions in the Caribbean.
