John was an amazing guy. Always there to help a friend. Sadly, before he went to Vietnam he told my boyfriend at the time. “Take good care of her, I know I won’t make it back from Vietnam. He died 17 days after he arrived there. His helicopter crashed and he went back in to save a fellow soldier and died f burns he received from helping his friend.
