What a long strange journey. After graduation i drifted in jobs working in retail mostly though i did have an interesting job in Atlantic City the summer after graduation. I worked in an all night burger joint and we got some interesting characters. In 1974, I followed a family trend and worked at Honeywell in Ft.Washington in the office. Hated it! Worked some other jobs then ended back at Honeywell working in the factory. Loved it! Did that for about 15 years until i got laid off and then went to Montco for my AS in Early Childhood Education. Stayed with the electronics industry for a few more years working over in Willow Grove. At the same time i was going to Chestnut Hill College for my BS in the same major. Graduated in 2000 with honors.
My father had passed during my time there. Kind of putzed around awhile and then moved to WVa due to our house being sold. Stayed there with my future husband until I finally got my first teaching job in NC. Ended up in SC and FL and even spent a Summer in Michigan working at a yacht club. Taught for 12 years mostly preschool but my last position was in Upper Dublin School District. Loved it! Unfortunately in February of 2016 i had to have my right leg amputated below the knee. I chose to go on disability and take my pension from Honeywell. Oh yes, somewhere in there i got married in 2003. I've lived in frat house off and on for eight years and have been a surrogate mom to hundreds of boys who became men. Well, I guess that's it except I'm now living in NJ at the shore, love it, with my husband and our dog Tep. I'm thankful for everyday since i know that things could have gone the other way.
