About	TEWKSBURY -- Barbara Ellen (Fagan) Fontaine, age 60, formerly of Winthrop, died peacefully on Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2017, at her Tewksbury home in the loving care of her family, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Armand R. Fontaine, with whom she had celebrated a 26th wedding anniversary this past March. Barbara was born in Winthrop, one of three children of the late Douglas and Grace (McDermott) Fagan, and raised in Winthrop. Following her marriage, in 1991 they moved to Tewksbury to begin their family. In her early career, she worked at United Airlines at Logan Airport where she met her future husband. After raising her family, she became an Autistic Specialist Care provider. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Brian D. Fontaine and a daughter, Meghan S. Fontaine, both of Tewksbury; two brothers, Douglas Fagan and his wife, Joanne of S.C., and John “Jack” Fagan of Winthrop; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
