Steve was a member of the Point Shirley five, Charlie Norris, Art Straton, Phillip Fuller and me, We had many adventures around the Point. I can remember how one day Charlie built a plumbing pipe cannon which fired glass marbles utilizing firecrackers. With it in hand we went across the playground and set the cannon up on the beach, aimed it at the Winthrop Yacht Club and fired it. But thank God the marble fell short of its intended target. Well, that was only one of our many youthful adventures,
