About	Gregory Dale Miller Sr. 61 of Lake Wales, FL died in the comfort of his home on September 20, 2023. Gregory was a lifetime resident of Polk County, FL. He was born in Winter Haven, FL, November 15, 1961 to Robert E. Miller Sr. and Nancy Jo Strickland. In May of 2022, Greg was diagnosed with stage four Squamous Cell Carcinoma/ Cancer of the Mandible and fought the good fight surrounded by his family and friends. Greg attended Winter Haven High School and graduated with the class of 1980. Soon after graduating, he enlisted into the Army where he served his country for four years. Greg then married his sweetheart Bessie Humphrey in 1989. In 1990 was called back in military for Desert Storm to serve. Greg and Bessie just celebrated 34 years of marriage on 09/16/2023. After leaving the army, Greg got a job at Pinsly Railroad and worked there for 26 years, then completed his 30 years with Evansville Western Railway until he retired in February of 2022 right before receiving his cancer diagnosis. When Greg wasn’t at the railroad, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working with his hands, reading the Bible, talking about God, going for walks, and serving people. Greg would always say that the Bible is the only book that a person needs. He lived his life in devotion to God and his family and served both well. Greg is survived by his wife Bessie, his children Christina Royer, Amy Heath, Shirley Johnson, Greg Miller Jr, Travis Miller, Jonathan Miller, his nine grandchildren, his dad Robert E Miller Sr., and his siblings Tari Boggs, Robert Miller Jr., Mike Miller and Sue Robinson.
