After High School, we became room mates in a cheap apartment in Langley Park, MD. He went back to school at the University of Maryland, I had already graduated and was looking for a job. We were both employed as cashiers at Giant grocery stores and were both fired, Richard for taking unscheduled leave to travel across country in a beat up old Rambler station wagon and for me, trying to pick up women as a cashier. Those were the days.
