I will never forget that as a toddler, he had sat in a pile of hot coals and was severely burned. Several years later, while sitting in Miss Clara's 1st grade class, he let me write a whole bunch on his desk, and he got in trouble. Miss Clara pulled out her "Red Man" paddle and paddled his injured behind. Never once did he tell on me. He sure did tease me about it though!
