About Me	I graduated from Carroll College with a double major in English and journalism. I then worked for six years in newspapers, first as a reporter and eventually the editor-in-chief, overseeing 40 reporters, editors and photographers. I married in 1999 and knew raising a family in the Milwaukee area was not a good option, so we moved back to this area. I took a job as a magazine editor and then book editor at Krause Publications, where I stayed another six years. I worked only part-time from 1999 through the end of 2007, so I could be home more with my girls during their formative years. In 2006, I took a part-time position as the development coordinator for a nonprofit organization in Appleton. "Development coordinator" is a fancy title for the person who raises the money to keep things going! I write grant proposals, work on special fundraising events and develop relationships with donors.
