WINCHESTER - Troy Dale Dolen, 43, of Winchester, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at the St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
He was born, Sept. 17, 1972, in Jacksonville, the son of Edward L. and Jeanette R. Curtis Dolen. He married Cindy Gerard, Jan. 13, 2004, in Las Vegas.
Surviving is his wife, Cindy of Winchester; two daughters, Haleigh Dolen of Austin, Texas, and Mekenzi Dolen of Winchester; and his parents, Eddie and Jeanette Dolen of Winchester.
Troy was a member of Springfield Laborer Union 477. He was a hard worker, never missing work, a trait he learned from his father. He enjoyed all types of sports, whether as a fan or an active player. He particularly enjoyed bowling and playing golf. Troy was a fun loving person who loved people and enjoyed making them laugh. He was a loving husband, father, and son.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester. Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. Friday with the family meeting friends from 3:30 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
