About	Denver, Colorado - Dean E. Eppinger, Jr. (formerly of New Bedford, Pennsylvania) passed away, after a short illness, on the morning of June 10, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Born May 11, 1951, Dean was the son of the late Dean Eppinger Sr and E. Jane Eppinger (Nottingham). Dean grew up in New Bedford, Pennsylvania as one of the "Bedford Boys." He graduated from Wilmington Area High School and the New Castle School of Trades where he became a certified millwright. Later, he went on to become a skilled welder. Dean always had an adventurous nature and in the mid 1970s, he ventured to Colorado and settled there, making this his permanent home but he always remained in contact with his friends and family in Pennsylvania. Over the years, Dean used his education and skills at various companies, including contributing to a patent for development of regional equipment. But his most notable accomplishment was owning his own company, Colorado Iron Works. For approximately 20 years, Dean used his creativity and welding skills to fabricate ornamental iron designs for both private homeowners and commercial businesses until he retired in 2016. Dean was easy-going and his young-at-heart nature mixed with his devilish mischievousness and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. If you saw the glint in his blue eyes and sly smile, you just knew he was up to something. Dean loved relaxing outdoors. Whether it was camping, fishing, golfing, hiking or traveling to a new destination, he always found something interesting to share and looked forward to the next big adventure with his beloved, Anna. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Jane Eppinger and a brother, Lyle Eppinger. He is survived by his partner of 20 years, Anna Bruegmann; daughter, Sheila Eppinger Epper of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania; son Adrian Eppinger (Anna) of New Bedford, Pennsylvania; five granddaughters, Alexandria, Kassandra, Crystal, Stephanie and Olivia; five great grandchildren; nieces Jennifer Ruffing and April Galizia and their families; three step-children, Laurie, Brett and Brandy; as well as many cousins and extended family and friends. In lieu of a funeral service, Dean's wishes were cremation and a Celebration of Life, which will be determined at a later date.
