About	Thomas David Whiteman, a proud veteran of the U.S Army, passed away on Sept. 30, 2021. He was 70. The son of Chet and Vivian Whiteman, Thomas grew up in New Wilmington. He was born Aug. 20, 1951, and attended Penn State and Slippery Rock universities. Thomas valued this service to his nation and his local community. While serving in the Vietnam War, he was awarded the Bronze Star with combat valor for his selflessness and bravery during combat operations.
