Christopher Malagisi
Class of 1999
Christopher Malagisi is currently the National Grassroots Coordinator at The Leadership Institute. He is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and training conservative leaders and activists across the country. He is also the Young Professionals Assistant National Grassroots Coordinator for the John McCain Presidential Campaign and was recently the National Youth Director for the Fred Thompson Presidential Campaign.
Malagisi was previously the Regional Political Director for The Republican Party of Virginia, serving as the Northern Virginia Field Director for the high-profile US Senate re-election campaign for Senator George Allen (R-VA). He also worked for the International Republican Institute as the Middle East & North Africa Department Program Assistant and had traveled to Afghanistan to assist in implementing various democracy programs. He also worked on the Bush-Cheney 2004 presidential re-election effort as the Ohio Youth Director for the College Republican National Committee, where his team was awarded the 2004 Best National State Team in the country. Malagisi has also worked and interned with the House Republican Conference congressional leadership committee, The White House VP Office of Legislative Affairs, and Congressman Tom Reynolds (R-NY) - former NRCC Chairman.
Malagisi has published various op-eds on public policy and has been published by the International Conference on Social Sciences and Campaigns & Elections magazine. Malagisi had also been a reoccurring focus group member on MSNBC’s TV program America’s Voices. He has a Masters of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Public Affairs at Syracuse University and received his B.A. in Political Science from American University. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia’s 8th Congressional District Committee, is an Adjunct Professor at American University, has worked, traveled, or studied in over 35 countries around the world, and has recorded two original music piano albums.
