Age 72-Shirley passed away suddenly Sunday July 14, 2024. She lived in Iowa City, Iowa at the time. She was born on January 7, 1952 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of John and Virginia(Durr) Finnegan. After graduation in 1970 from WHS, Shirley was a cosmetologist a few years before becoming a packaging clerk at ACT and NCS.
She enjoyed puzzles and excelled at Yahtzee and Scrabble. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Shirley was always thinking of others and had a huge heart. She loved classic comedy shows like "I Love Lucy".
Shirley is survived by her three children-Jody Nemec, Andrew Williams and Melody Peer and her sister Sandy-WHS Class of 1971. Her brother David-WHS Class of 1975, passed away January 2018.
Her light fades into sweet memories...
